I’m seeing my business in a new way. I’m beginning to see that everything I offer is about freedom. I’m also clear that individuals and organizations are in need of new ways of prioritizing freedom, of making freedom an integral part of their lives and their bottom lines.
In my own life, I’ve prioritized freedom. In my work life, and 15+ years in leadership, I’ve broken away from the old paradigm and colonial mindset of “professionalism” at all costs. I have benefited from breaking free of the boxes life can create (from career expectations driven by money, to embracing my queer identity, and everything in between). My teams have benefited from having a voice in the room that won’t just go along with the power structure.
When I think of my most toxic work experience, and the employees most impacted by ongoing acts of paternalism, conflict, bias, and harm, having a voice of freedom in the room that models concepts of sovereignty and self-actualization, has made a difference. I want that life outside the box experience for you. I want that democratic, self-actualizing model for your organization.
